Congratulations to beginners Archie (red belt), Angkor and Jacob (white belts) for entering the junior kumite (sparring) at the South Coast Applied Karate Tournament 2022.

They each fought so well and courageously, showing great future potential and they learned a great deal from the experience.

Congratulations to siblings David, Damien and Sianna on their success at the South Coast Applied Karate Championship, held at Bournemouth University on 8th May.

David won Gold in the Adults Intermediate Kumite and also Joint Gold in the Advanced Kumite, which he got special dispensation to enter as well. Damien won Silver in the other Adult Kumite weight category and Sianna won Gold in her Junior Kumite category.

Congratulations to Ewan, Charlotte and Eleanor on their success at the South Coast Applied Karate Championship, held at Bournemouth University on 8th May.

Ewan won Gold in his Junior Intermediate-Advanced Kumite category, Charlotte won Silver in the Intermediate Mixed Gender Kata category and Eleanor won Silver in her Intermediate Junior Kumite category

Spencer produced an outstanding performance in his orange belt grading.

A first class performance from father and son pair Rich and Toby in their gradings - well done to them!

Daryl's previous martial arts experience really shows in his karate, and his first grading didn't disappoint

From the New Year, we have secured the use of Castle Court School's recently-built sports hall for our Saturday morning training sessions. This fantastic, spacious training facility has ideal flooring for martial arts and a viewing gallery for parents.

Fin is new to the club and has made phenomenal progress in that short time. Maddie has been with us longer, but the pandemic has seriously disrupted her grading schedule, meaning she is way beyond your average yellow belt - and she won't be one for long!
